Our First Caravan Trip -Part 1

We left Friday for a weekend away in our Caravan for the first time. We arrived at The Golden Nugget Caravan Park in Bendigo. It is a lovely relaxing park.
A Lawn Chess Game at the park.

Our caravan being set up. I have to get an American flag to fly in conjunction with the Aussie one. . .
Looks pretty peaceful huh? he he

All set up, and GM thinks he is going to get to sit, read a magazine & relax. Ralphy has other ideas.

GM doesn't really mind . . .
Ralphy after a very stressful time of setting up the Caravan, and checking out the new surroundings. . .
Then it's back to guarding, and seeing what is going on in the world.

Our First dinner. . . Spaghetti- home made, not out of a can. More like out of the freezer, but home made from scratch none the less.
GM Looking fabulous!
We found this place in Bendigo, and took a walk!
The Arch of Triumph/White Hills Botanical Gardens. Very nice! No entry fee, fantastic native animals on display, across the park was a huge playground, and paved walking trails. On the day we were there, there were kids paying, riding bikes, families barbecuing, and it was just lovely!
A wild cockatoo just on a branch in a tree in the park.
In an aviary.

Big Grey Kangaroos.
A bridge to the footy (football) field.
The view from said bridge. . .
We had a lovely time, I think our first trip was a grand success!

I think I'd like Ralphy's life - looks pretty good. Looks like a great weekend away - we head up to Bendigo quite a bit and I never get to see that stuff.
